who is the most handsome prince?

it's you!

how about you and me have a picnic?

Just posting this in case you haven't seen it yet and had no idea what I was talking about earlier.

I'm so tired my eyes are crossing and my brain is mixing up words, I think.

I've been making some pretty good jokes today but unfortunately they are mostly around how completely nutso I am so are therefore inadmissible.
IMG_4486
Today at work I was thinking about how I think it's completely unacceptable to post so many stupid pictures of myself. But then I started thinking about how funny it was that I was thinking that. Therefore making posting so many stupid photos completely worthwhile.
IMG_4490
Sort of makes sense.

It's funny when I run into vague friends of mine and they tell me they read blog sometimes. It always blows my mind. I mean, I know people are reading it because of the stats but it's sometimes the people I would least expect to come around here, plus I always assume some people are coming around just to hate on blogs. And they probably wouldn't tell me they were reading if that were the case.

Anyway! It makes me very, very pleased to hear if someone read and also enjoyed this little piece of shit on the internet! And I extra-love it when it's people I wouldn't expect. So nice.

new version (not interesting except to me)

Weird, dudes, my friend found this alternate version of the gum commercial, one I'd never seen!

Aaaand I think it's funnier.
I'm glad they made a version with that last line in it.
Also, I wish I hadn't have been death-ill losing voice on that day, my voice is kind of annoying. Oh yeah, and I should also get a nose job.

That guy is pretty insistent on it...
Who wants to fund one??

The shitty thing about being an actor/public personality of any sort is that people think they should be able to tell you about how you are ugly.
I assure you, everyone knows how they are ugly. And yet ya still gotta live.

temp-cat lol-cat

I probably should've clarified that that review posted below is for the short film that I did, A Small Thing, not my fringe play, which I am currently engrossed in.
Also, thanks Robert Bell of Exclaim magazine, that's one of the heartiest compliments I've received.

The fringe review was fine.
Three stars, said the acting is strong but the plot meanders. I'll take that.

My cat's name is now Temp-Cat

temp-cat
AWWWWWWWWWW the baby.
(more nice photos of her on my flickr site.)

The best part about today was how I spent like 6 hours on a stupid sundress (for my friend, but still) and then ruined it at the last minute (salvageable, but still) so I had nothing to wear tonight (yeah it was for my friend, but still).
But then I just cut some holes in a green (colour of hospital scrubs, hot) pillow-case and wore it as a shift dress. Because I am a dork like that.
A huge, huge dork.
Evidenced below.

OMG, dudes, so ready to a successful actor.
At least I got an unexpected (small) cheque today. Thank-you again, gum people.

figures

So, my first film audition in awhile and guess what the part is!!???
A fat girl!
Okay, so not fat exactly - "less than svelte and not a little imposing"

HAVE YOU EVER MET ME?

Okay, so I guess some of you actually, technically, haven't.
5'1 (and a half I guess)
117 pounds (I don't actually own a scale, but last time I weighed myself, it was around there)

Oh yeah, the character is also a lesbian, and an action star fighter-girl.................

There's something remarkably freeing about going out for a part that I have no hopes of getting.
Usually when it's a big American movie all of these parts have actually been cast already, but under ACTRA guidelines (or something) they have to audition a certain amount of local performers. I feel like casting directors use these opportunities just to see people - it has little to do with the actual character being cast, and more with who they feel like having a look at.
But that's just a theory.

Still on my cleanse.. I had a nap this afternoon (surprise) and I dreamt almost entirely of eating sugar. I kept accidentally eating it and then feeling really guilty and then eating more and more and more sugar.
I'm not actually that crave-y in real life, but I am pretty heartily addicted to sugar.
I'm living off strawberries and off apple slices with almond butter. Yeah huh.

Oh yeah, also, I'm off coffee for the next little bit. It was fun being addicted to it for awhile there, but now it's time to go back to it giving me that Ultimate High every one in awhile. I'm tired.

I'm still feeling pretty shitty so it's okay if I share this self-indulgent story.

My cousin's wedding took place in Waseca, Sask. this weekend, and I didn't get to go because I'm stuck all up in this big smoke, living the dream, etc. But one of my girl-cousins told my mum this story:
Her boyfriend and her are watching TV and the ice breakers commercial comes on and her boyfriend says "Oh, there's that girl" and my cousin is like "what do you mean?" and he says "well the guys all think she's hot" (and by "guys" he means the military firefighters he works with!!) and then my cousin is all "That's my cousin!"

So. In conclusion, you know who I'm big with?
Firefighters
Asians (I know this because of plentyoffish and because Sass is totally always trying to hit this)
17-year-old boys

It's funny because I don't even look particularly hot in that ad, Mum says it's because I look approachable. Like I wouldn't shut them down. Which is kind of hilarious since I am quite the opposite in real life. I have so ridiculously little patience for idiot-babes being idiots. Especially if the idiocy involves hitting on me.

No, jk, babes! Hit on me!
Well, in 12 days anyhow. When I've cleansed myself and become a born-again virgin.

Ew.

6.20.2008

Hey guess who has fat arms?!?

This guy!

Yeah. Yesterday my agent and I discussed my need to "tone up".
If you ever have had body issues or don't want body issues do not become an actor.

Agent is completely right and he also told me about how great I am in the film that I leant him to see. That the film is lovely and lots of stuff for my demo reel, etc.

He said Canadian actors especially don't take their bodies seriously. We have a niceness that ends in just not getting cast instead of L.A. where they will tell you straight up.
And he's right. It is my job to look my physical best and be the in the best physical condition and appealing and attractive

I'm think I'll just gain 20 pounds and be a character actress!!!

.

I'm allowed to tell this story because it's following up how ugly I am and we all need to feel a bit better.

My brother is 17 and in high-school and a bit of a loner and always reading. Anyhow he was reading in class the other day and across the room some of the boys started talking about the ice breakers commercial and dude says, "That girl in that commercial is hot!"
Needless to say my brother snorted loudly and responded with "Don't talk about my sister like that!"

6.12.2008

daily affirmations

Ooops, didn't go back and finish that one paragraph yesterday like I meant to...
And then he:
said (to my back as I was running away) "Thank you..."
I'm very sophisticated and you should never be hesitant to introduce me to your celebrity friends.

Like how that night I also told the dude from White Cowbell Oklahoma the story that is contained in this entry. And in nearly the same breath told the singer from Elliott Brood that sometimes when he talked it sounded like when he was singing and then I felt glad.
I'm very cool.

Partied hard again last night. I basically live at Dakota. I just shouldn't go home. Last night turned out to be the NQ Arbuckle CD release (their myspace has a song called Saskatoon!). I bought a CD! Their set tonight was going to be one of my NXNE picks but now it seems a bit redundant.
Fun times last night though. Hung with my BFF and The DDWs - well, mostly one member in particular. BFF and I mostly hung at the bar and girl-talked. After she left I chatted up a really drunk babe and then I drank some more. Drinking is healthy and I have a healthy lifestyle. Which will continue on indefinitely into the end of time because I am fun.
.

Brunch got pushed back a half-hour (my life is so hard) and so I just french-manicured my fingers and red-painted my toes. Beyond hot.

Oh yeah I got a sexy new shirt yesterday. I would show you a picture of it but I can't because I still don't have my camera and I need to go pick up but I've been busy busy party-bee.

I had to buy myself the shirt because of how I went to Fruits and Passions and they had 100% ABSOLUTELY NONE OF MY PERFUME LEFT. I almost wept. But there's no point crying over spilt perfume.
Why did I so wastefully apply it all these years?? I should've hoarded it, kept it sacred...

So. Everyone who doesn't live in Toronto... can you see if your local F+P has any left? I will reimburse for any/all bottles of the eau de toilette.

Stupid store.
.

A few funny self-indulgent stories:

1) I was walking through Sears after work yesterday and in the electronics department my commercial was playing on about 50 screens. I stopped and watched. No one noticed even though I was talking loudly about it on my cellphone.

2) A babe I was making eyes at at the bar recognized me from being off TV. I wonder if it will make it easier or harder to pick up now? He also insisted that when I say "cubes" it sounds remarkably like "cute", which he said was perfect.

3) My BFF's friend, this guy:

tells his friends about how he tried to make me do shots off his stomach, see here

(it looks like his navel is filled with blood but it is really booze of some sort)
whenever my commercial comes on.
Yike.
.

Oh fuck, I forgot I bought a pretentious beret. I have to remember to wear that soon!

It's one of my very best friends' birthdays today! And she loves birthdays more than anyone I ever met! Birthday to her is Christmas to me. If you can imagine.
So HAPPY BIRTHDAY KILLS!!!!!!!

5.17.2008

when is that alone time coming?

Omg. Shannyn Sossamon totally named her kid "Audio Science".
I'm feeling a lot better about my recent decision to name my son "Bearded Fiercely". No, seriously though. Especially with my last name? Awesome.
One of my very favourite Saskatooners wants to name his son "Cash Rocket". Yeah, I would totally get behind that.

Anyhow, I happened upon Sossamon's IMDB page because I linked over from the Moonlight page. Which I was on because of Jason Dohring.
Man, Jason Dohring (previously of Veronica Mars) is really hot. But in kind of an odd way, I mean, he's not particularly good-looking, but there's something about him.. That's why I was watching Moonlight. But I see that he's married. Sigh. I like to have active fantasy lives about marrying semi-famous people.

I was thinking about starting an internet petition/rally to get JTT to go on a date with me.
I'm going to keep on thinking about it. Figure out a way to get it to happen.

It's too bad about Dohring looking a little too much like Dana Carvey these days. Maybe a haircut would help.

I went to see some improv tonight - Saskatoon Soaps. There was a dude who looked sort of like Dohring in it, but with dark hair. Weird.
Good job improv though. I would beyond love to do that show at some point. I think they have a really good set-up and way of going about things. It's sort of part regular scenes and part game scenes. And generally entertaining. Not enough funny women though - but improv usually is short on those.
Man I want to live in Saskatoon sometime and do Soaps and Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan and stuff.
Maybe this will be the year that I formally make my way back into the theatre business. Starting out with The Fringe this year in Toronto. Have I formally announced that on here yet? I'm doing a play! I think I did say that already but still, YAYAYAYAY. You'll be hearing a lot more about that in coming weeks, I'd bet.

The director of the MTV commercials that I did uploaded them to her website.
This is the one you probably hadn't seen (I hadn't seen it until just now): www.wendymorgan.net/work/habits.mov
Eyeballs number 2 (where I dance!): www.wendymorgan.net/work/eyeballs2.mov
Eyeballs number 3 (with the dialogue, even): www.wendymorgan.net/work/eyeballs3.mov

Fun times!

I'm slightly stressed out and a little frustrated with not having been alone for a week. I'm so used to being able to be in my own space with my own things, no irritated on by anyone else. Ah, the give and take of family life.
Also, the complete uselessness of this computer is sort of baffling. Any pictures that have managed to get themselves uploaded are miracles. Tiny irritating miracles that used up way too much of my time.

Also, I'm a little stressed out. Yesterday ended up being beyond good for both me and my friend, I don't give nicknames here, generally, as I tend to want to mention as few details about people and involve them as little in my online drama as little as possible... but this dude probably deserves a pseudonym, which will be Toad. Because it always has been.
Anyhow, I'm not getting into it tonight, but hopefully soon I'll get up the resources to hash some of this out for the internets.

I'll say, however, that he told me that our visit and conversation was probably the best thing for him. And I'll say that he is still not alright. And that I might be able to work him into my life in some way (something that hasn't been near a possibility in my life up until now).
And I'll say that I hugged him in the kitchen and I pulled away and felt awkward for having invaded his space and he said "It's nice to be hugged, no one really hugs me these days". And so I hugged him for a couple more minutes and squeezed his elbow on our walk along the riverbank home.

I don't know if I'm going to be good at this sort of critiquing

wet 'n' wild!!!

I wish I weren't working all day tomorrow and instead going to Wonderland with some girls. That'd be the life.

Opening the ice cream store tomorrow!
Yesterday I ate a lot. Omg, pistachio, how glad I am to have you back in my life.

NBFF and I trained as a team at the parlour last night. Pretty funny. There are so many problems with that place and how it's run, etc. But I have no idea on how to fix it. Sigh.
We had dinner afterwards and sort of tried to think of ways to make it better. No avail. But dinner was still nice, so whatevers.

I've had this navy blue nail-polish since high school at least (possibly elementary?) and it's still good. Wet 'n' Wild is my second product endorsement of today.

Too many instant messaging programs in my life right now. Every way I turn someone is talking to me. It's hard to get off the internet.
Facebook chat is the creepiest of all creepiness. No but seriously.
a) people don't even have to want to chat for it to show them in my chat box
b) it gives me updates about them whilst chatting "Fiona is now friends with Alister Smith" "Fiona's dad died", etc.
c) I can spy on people being online way, way too easily and it makes me want to contact people just because I can, not because I have anything interesting to say.

I'm so going to get my teeth cleaned. For the first time in an embarrassing amount of years. By a dental student, so it's a whole lot cheaper. Yay! I was having a mini-panick about my ivories a couple of weeks ago. But even the visit yesterday set me at ease a bit. So glad my mouth isn't falling apart.
I'm planning to get my laterals filled in and my teeth bleached at some point.
Teeth are important.

Stopped by Whippersnapper gallery on my way home from dinner because it's so close to home and because some peeps were there. Ended up seeing the dude from the Ice Breakers commercial. I really feel like I know him. Mostly because I see him on TV with me a lot. And also because he reminds me of one of my BFFs. It was nice to see him and I had lots to say and so did he and I kind of want him to become my real-time friend. Well, I facebooked him, so we'll see, won't we?
Everyone knows that Facebook translates to real-time (no it does not).

Got dragged along to The Beaconsfield after. I have such a hard time saying no to party-all-the-time. Even when I'm just tired. One of my friends was bartending, aw he's so little and cute and when I tell people that we're both from Saskatoon they say "Do they only grow them small and red-headed there?"
Ran into one of commercial-friend's roommates there, coincidentally, he was very funny and shittered. And I talked to a guy who had a cock on his shirt. The animal variety, unfortunately.
Why is Beaconsfield a hipster hang out? It's not the best, as far as I can tell..
That's how you know I'm not a true hipster.

Today I am, once again, not getting anything done. Congratulations to me on that one.

Apparently I will be performing in the Late Late Horror Show tomorrow night, for the first time. Yike. No one is coming. Obviously.
I do not know what I am doing tonight. Probably partying I guess (Napoleon accent implied in that sentence).

4.04.2008

sigh

Oh sigh sigh. SIGH... but in a positive way

brunch time
Brunch time!

There's not much I like more than lying in bed and listening to the rain. It helps if there's a babe there, but either way.

April is already way better than March has ever been. Spring is still such a tease though. I am so ready for sundresses. I am planning and planning for them...

"Hey, are you in that commercial?"
"Yes. I'm very, very funny and very smart and pretty, so it was really easy for me to do"

Ow my party-all-the-time lifestyle is making my head hurt.

"Can I be in your blog?"
No way, you're way too tall, your head would get cut off

That doesn't make sense.

Goddamn do I like some of my gfs. So hard. We got pretty shittered last night at Dakota which is my very favourite bar in this city. Officially. But there's no cellphone reception there. Just so you know.

OMG I'm getting nothing done these days. Obviously, since I'm never at my house. Next week is the week for working and getting everything done.

Et Puis? magazine is ridiculously over-due. It's not like anyone but me cares, but it's important to me to get it out. To still be able to call myself a poet.

Tonight is the Jays home opener! Excited to see everyone and have everyone exclaim over my successes! Excited because it's Boston and so it'll be busy. Not excited for being this tired there.

Tonight I feel like there's a bunch of things I'm supposed to do.. but I can't really remember what they are or whether I'd actually like to them.
Maybe I'll sleep instead. Yeah Right.
If by sleep I mean PARTY

3.31.2008

yes pls

I didn't go out tonight. I mean, besides working and then dinner. But I did not go out dancing. Because I have work to do and sleep to get.
Some day I'm going to be responsible. And mature.

My life is a mess right now and I am trying to only add things that are good for me into it. And people who are good for me. And not more messes.
Lately I'm wanting prosperity, confidence, success, competence...
Sometimes the messiness of other people drags at me.

Bizarro face!!!

OMG they totally played it on the jumbotron at the acc today. Weird x 110.
Strangers are starting to recognize me which makes me feel funny and unsure of how to react but happy, I guess? yeah.

I need to get a series. And a film lead. Both, yes.
Yes please

QUICK POLL:

my new dance/rap duo should be called:

a) Specialust
b) Cafete
c) The Dramz

pls i need yr feedback asap

I am excited about being a hiphop phenomenon

3.30.2008

the exciting life and times of miss bomb

Two new developments in the epic, exciting drama which is my life:

#1:
I caught one! I came home (drunk drunkety drunk) last night to find Hunca Munca caught by a leg in one of my traps. So I scooped her up and tried to calm her but she bit me a bunch (totally rude) and so I held her by the scruff of her neck and took her and dumped her out on the front walk. I just couldn't bear to physically kill her myself. Even though she bit me.
The home invasion seems to be lessening maybe the poison is finally starting to work. I hope so. Knock wood and stuff.

#2:
I finally, finally saw the damn Ice Breakers commercial. Thanks to my aunt's tip about it frequently being on the retro cartoon network. I managed to tape the end half. And have freeze-frame watched it around a billion times.
Conclusions:
-What a bizarro nose I have! (totally cute but also very weird-looking)
-I should get my teeth fixed
-I have sparkly eyes
-it put to rest my intense fears that it's awful..

It also played last night at work, on a whole bunch of TVs around me. Very bizarre.
.

Last night was supposed to be for partying all the time but it was a case of too many possibilities and too many almost parties.. but dancing at the Dakota with the single girl trifecta was pretty good.
A blonde, a brunette and a redhead walk into a bar.... (ouch)
Chuck Berry tribute night = pretty fun dance party.
.

I just about ate a whole cucumber!
.

Oh, actually exciting:
I have found my new rap partner, Sassephine: super new rap duo: name to be announced soon: party time to follow: same size of feet so you know we'll work well together: or at least be able to switch shoes

3.22.2008

oh soren

"For every woman there is a seducer; her happiness lies in her meeting him"
-Soren Kierkegaard

That was the fortune (?) in my odd sort of chocolate nut treat that a man at work gave me. Kind of funny that it'd be Kierkegaard.

"I have a bone to pick with you"
"You read my blog"

Story of my life.

I have the TV on. A lot. Still nothing.

Everyone in the world seems to have seen the gum one at least.
Everyone says "Hey! I saw your commercial!" but then they don't always follow it up with something. Then it gets awkward. I feel like Mitch Hedberg.

"A guy came up to me in the airport, saying, "Dude, I saw you on TV last night!" But he did not say whether or not he thought I was good. He just confirmed I was on television. So I turned away for a minute, and then I turned back toward him and said, "I saw you at the airport about a minute ago. And you were good!""

I went to a rad clothing swap yesterday with a whole lot of girls I didn't know. I like situations like that. I like new people. Except I'm so abrasive.
I got some good goods though! And ate some dainties. And had some post-swap gossip time.
I can't even explain how much I like gossip. And drama. And gossipy drama. So hard.

Party all the time. Party party party party all the time.

My old friend EE came to town and texted me last night. I think that she is ridiculously hysterical. Apparently her friend got her cards made up that said "Need a situation made awkward? Call E.E".
So true.
And excellent.

I'm working the Foo Fighters concert tonight. Then I hope to party party party more but I'm exhausted and irritable. Frustrated with myself and with other people.

And fed up with the mice. Stop squealing. For realz.

3.18.2008

sabotaged!

Yesterday I had an audition for a series (which means dialogue that actually needs to be learned, not like commercials where I just show up and yell a lot). I completely self-sabotaged by going out the night before on purpose despite not having even fully read my scripts. And then not getting home until 11 a.m. because I am the worstest.
But when I did get home and started reading some of the episode scripts, I realized that it was really funny. So I panicked and tried to actually do a good job of the audition.
I recorded all the scripts with Garageband in different voices and then exported it to iTunes and put it on my iPod. This is one of the best ideas I've had. I listened to it on repeat on the way there - pausing to see if I did, indeed, know what I was supposed to say next.
I haven't been nervous in auditions lately, so I was a little thrown-off by how shaky I was in that room. My arms went numb. Nerves are pointless and annoying.

I'm not sure my last minute prep made up for the hung-overness or lack of choices or not looking young enough.

Well, whatever, I'm pretty much the Canadian Carmen Electra. Well, in Ice Breakers Gum terms at least.

2.19.2008

snot true

Here's an email I received today. It is a response to a listing I posted on a donor insemination registry website.

Dear Meredith:

Last night I listened to the Ideas programme on CBC Radio. It was about artificial insemination and the search by offspring for donor fathers and siblings. After listening to the programme it prompted me to look on the internet for sites to list contact information. I found your listing and I thought I should contact you. I was a donor in the programme in Saskatoon at the time you were conceived, however, I doubt that I am the one. The donor is described as very funny and I don't think I am very funny. Congenial, perhaps. I am 6 feet tall with dark brown hair, eye colour is blue, actually sort of blue-green. I do have freckles. The most recent of my ancestors arrived in Canada from northern England in 1835. If you are interested to ask any questions, please feel free to send me an e-mail and I will give you a telephone number.

Best wishes,

****

Hmm.

While nothing discounts him completely from being that Biodad of mine, it does seem pretty unlikely.

I think I'm still interested in contacting him (maybe even more so, knowing he isn't my relation) and seeing what it's like being in the other side of my boat. Especially from the same situation. Same doctors, same procedure. Similar experience to that of Biodad.

.

Set was amazing today. I did good work I think (or at least was told continuously). The best compliment I received was from the product client who sought me out afterwards to say
"I hope that this spot serves you as well as it will serve us, because it is very funny and people should be lined up to use you"

Then we, of course, made jokes about how "using" me maybe wasn't the classiest way of putting it and so on and so forth.

The boy acting opposite me was really great. Very confident and calm. And funny, of course.
But he reminded me so much of my old BFF/one time BF (twice involved, off and on best friend). And so my heart ached gently all day looking at him.
I'm constantly missing people.

I love being the star of the show. I gotta say, when things revolve around me, I am way more happier. Also, making jokes with the crew and getting them all on my side is also my favourite. One camera guy and I called each other every derogatory/cutesy name we could think of. Then I topped it off with "dinkus" and that really seemed to stick.

I've never eaten so many pieces of gum in my life. It's pretty good gum though. But I didn't get a lifetime supply.
.

I'm sick as a dog again. I can't seem to kick this. It's sort of ridiculous. I left improv early yesterday (and I never miss improv! or the drinking afterwards!) but luckily not before my most insane/beyond over-the-top strange classmate rhymed "chin" with "nipple". Maybe she just doesn't understand rhyming?

I'm gooing out every facial orifice. I'm disgusting. And so sick of being sick. I'm glad I held it together on set and kept my voice even through the countless blood-curdling screams I produced.

But I have two auditions tomorrow. One for Best Buy. I've been called back for two different Best Buy commercials and have not landed one yet and so I refuse to take them seriously.
But I still have to get it together. Maybe not snot all over the casting peeps.
Or maybe I will.

2.18.2008

happy family day

Dreamt last night I was in shitty relationship with someone I didn't care about but I thought "might as well stick it out until something better comes along"
This is maybe one of the most hilarious things I've dream-thought. So remarkably not something I would do.
Oh.
But he did own a Nissan Micra. So I could see staying in it for that.
.

It seems like no matter how much sleep I get I'm still exhausted. I'm still on the verge of passing out. Hmm. Maybe my iron is low.
I'm also still sick. It's been weeks and I'm still coughing a bit and feeling clogged up.
Probably because I drink too much.
.

I'm not excited.
And I wish I were. I should be. About getting lots of money at the very least. But I'm more apprehensive and tired.
I'm understanding more my famous-ish friends' reactions to being famous. To how much work it is.

I'm excited! Somewhere I am excited.
And I keep telling everyone I see how excited I am, in order to make it true... but mostly I'm just sort of weirded out.
It's weird how I've worked towards booking commercials and I'm always thinking 'wow, if I would only book a big commercial, then things would be okay for a while'.
Yeah, they won't. Nothing will be enough.

And I've definitely spent whatever money will be coming in about seven times over.

The best part of wardrobe fitting on Friday was that I tried on many, many Amish type outfits.
Haha.

I love the director of this spot though. He is very, very sweet. He told us how great we were about fifty times. And I had to try on about a billion outfits and he told me I looked great in everything.
.

Well, I'm officially at the age where I check for wedding rings.

Does this mean that I am officially an adult?
Maybe so.

What's worse is that frequently babes have them on.
.

I loved Now Magazine this week where they mentioned what great hair Hayden has.
It's strange how certain people just look like rockstars. Naturally, I mean. Not in a done-up way.

Seriously.
Hayden is probably my dream man.
In case of if you were wondering.
That's why I get the shakes when I see him.
.

I'm hoping to be able to afford a digital SLR camera with these moneys. I would be beyond excited for that, I believe.

I was researching last night on the interweb and it looks like I can get one that will fit the SLR lenses I already own. How hot would that be? Especially because I love my lenses. And then I won't have to double invest in lenses.
Yeah.
So excited.
I bought a tripod the other day. Feeling pretty pro, gotta say. I'm booked to do two headshot photo-shoots this week. I'm hoping it works out. I keep having to bump things back on account of having to shoot/go to wardrobe/go to auditions/etc.
.

Oh, yeah. Shooting commercial #1 (for a frozen dinner product) was good on Thursday. Pretty fun/funny. I got on really well with the boy acting opposite of me, which always makes a shoot good. We talked about "the business" and made way too many jokes about being celebrities/divas.
I felt really terribly for the old woman playing the Italian grandma. She obviously had little interest in acting and little interest in being there by the end of the day.
The make-up artist had worked on one of the music videos I was in, small city. And I especially liked the two British wardrobe stylists. Everything is around 8 times funnier when said in a British accent. And they had such great taste.
It was a short shoot day too, and I even made it to work that night.
Which was great because I had absolutely no money. Zero.

I'm still so broke it isn't funny.

I notice that no one has signed up to buy me congratulatory gifts yet...

damn girl, don't hurt him don't d-don't don't don't hurt him

UGH.

Well, apparently they really liked me this morning EXCEPT that some of them didn't and one of them asked if I had a speech impediment. Which I don't. I don't think.

Which means: Do your voice warm-ups before you go to auditions. Especially if you live alone.
Also, I'm still sick and have been sick for weeks and so my voice is still off. But I don't know.

I hate knowing that they're thinking of wanting me but that maybe they won't choose me. HORRENDOUS.
Being an actor is all about being powerless all the time.
And you know how good I am with that.

On the plus side, I don't seem to have fucked up my hair colour too badly. Fingers crossed.

And also,
look what I found on the internet:

BOOKED IT

I booked another commercial! This means I get to be in the commercial (unless they edit me out which they probably will because I've got fat arms)!!!

Yay!

Best Valentines present ever.

I'd tell you more except there's not much to tell. Aaaand I have to go for wardrobe!

My agent is totally in love with me.
And I'm in love with myself (quelle surprise)!

Who wants to celebrate? Who wants to buy me congratulatory gifts?
