CHRISTMAS WISHLIST 2K11

a little late?
yeah, for sure!

but it's almost Christmas and almost my birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!
and so here is my quick list for ya!

1. TRUE LOVE AND HAPPINESS IN MY FAMILY AND FRIEND LIFE FOREVER

2. BOUNDLESS CAREER SUCCESS

that's pretty much it!

I'm doing a lot a lot of (beautiful) handmade stuff this year because I am joke-broke (ugugghgughh Raptors and improv are killing me) and so it will make me uncomfortable if anyone gets me anything really!

but in an ideal world these are the things I would wish for:

1. a passport (these cost money, who knew!)

2. money and time to more improv/comedy classes

3. a plain silver or gold ring
I've been wanting a plain ring for awhile now something with a tiny stone or no stone or a pattern in the metal or anything really, classic, simple.

4. booze

5. blue and gold antique dishes (always)
or just the best plain blue and white ones since everything gets broken all the time

6. laces, silks, crocheted things
in general

7. thick socks and nice tights!

8. a new computer!!!! (no? hmmmm that's weird no one wants to buy me one)

9. jeans
hahaa no don't buy me jeans but I do need new jeans so bad just reminding myself right now

10. a trip to a beach with a babe

11. antique coloured glassware especially with gold or silver edging

12. cheese

13. craft supplies

14. beautiful decorations

is that all? probably.

I'm a very, very lucky young woman with so many wonderful things in my life and particularly wonderful people and, honestly, the only thing I really really need this year is to see my friends and family and spend real time with them.

also I went hot tubbing on a hotel rooftop last night and it was sleet-raining and the city lights around us and we were the only ones up there and you know those times where you're jealous of your past self?

I 100% did not buy a taquito tonight and I fully, fully wanted to. Instead I came home and had some water. Baby steps, baby step.
Oh yeah, so my friend and I were making a billion jokes about how much we hang out in front of the 7-11 and then the next day I had coffee with Violet and she said "you know a car drove right into there, right?" hahaahaha nope. good thing it was after I was done sitting in front of there. She forwarded me this picture:

Christmas is creeping up so soon and I'm so involved in my own drama/bit of depression (I'm not really depressed I'm just into sleeping forever and ever) that I keep forgetting to get into the spirit. I live for this, I should be making the most of it.
That's what tomorrow is for, I suppose!

So, yeah. Somehow I managed to not take a single photo last night.

Funtimez though for sure. More chilled out than I'd expected. But it was lovely to see everyone. And I ate a lot of cheese. I actually even took a lot of cheese home with me and a couple of gift bags! Mmm gift bags with condoms and rum!

Ugh I can't stop eating cheese. yikes.

I want these cloisonné owls SO MUCH!
I actually went into this store (Dundas just East of St. George) to buy one and then realized that I really could not justify spending $10 (more for the bigger ones) on a figurine for no reason.

this is what I want for Christmas, though. I am not joking around. Whoever gets this for me for Christmas will be my hero. Who wants to woo me?
Oh they are just too beautiful. I would like a couple, actually. And I think all of them are beautiful so don't be shy about picking them out. I bet other stores in Chinatown have them too. I'm not even that into owls but I do like these ones so much.



I did buy a couple of pairs of pearl earrings, though. Somehow I managed to justify that to myself? Who knows.

So lovely such a lovely fall day, unbelievably warm out we just basked in the sunlight.




Patio was complete with a cat!

It came around to say hello and then went to sleep right by the sidewalk. too cute.

I had the brown mushroom/swiss/spinach omelette with such good hashbrowns and a serious salad and pieces of fruit on the side. I'd just come from the most boring shift at work so brunch was an extra-special-treat, it seemed. Laid-back, friendly server, too, who was pretty lovely, he made a jam bowl and set it in the garden to try to lure the wasp away from us.
I hope that someone thought he was trying to feed that to the cat.

My skin's been super crazy lately in a bunch of different ways, it's nice when it looks soft and nice in photos. I wish I had a healthy body that worked in all the ways it's supposed to. I wish I had skin that healed easily.

And I wish I blushed less. Actually, maybe it counteracts my rudeness sometimes? 'Ah she can't be that mean, she's blushing..'


Less than two weeks until Christmas season (at least in terms of retail and planning stuff) is in full swing! I'm behind already! But still very excited at what's possible and what I'll get around to!
Such a lovely lovely little season.

ADDITION TO WISHLIST

WARM THINGS.

I want warm things to wear on my body.
It is only -10 (plus a fucking bitter wind) and I'm already becoming a wuss. What's wrong with me. Last year I walked everywhere. This year I will too, it's just going to be a bit of an adjustment.

I need better mittens, I think. or multiple thin pairs to layer.

Also, I need magic socks. That magically keep my toes from immediately going numb.

Also, I need better boots.



Sooo happy that Dollface lent me a big parka (she has one another one so it's okay). This thing is pretty rad. I need to figure out a way to keep the hood from blowing off and then it will be a-okay.
Haha, I'll try that Saskatchewan trick (probably in all cold places) of wrapping your scarf up all around the hood and face. Amazing.


I'm going back to Saskatoon on the 20th. Good thing we're getting this cold-ish snap right now so it's not such a terrible shock to my system when I get to the 40 below.
Yike.



Niki came over tonight and we crafted a bit. Mostly chatted and drank

I kept chastising her about wasting my best papers. Good friend!

Now I've caught up on Gossip Girl (could Trip be a worse actor? Seriously? Chuck has a mumma! Blair needs to get way less boring. Serena looks pretty even in a hospital gown! Imagine if she and Nate [also bad actor] reproduced? so pretty!!) and am going to bed!

Pretty glad to have stayed in the past few nights as this weekend is looking to be way too much (NEVER ENOUGH) party town.
