Dollface just booked her family cottage for a couple of weekends for us this summer and now I can't sit still with anticipation. Kaya the dog will also have the best time ever.



lots of things on the horizon for this summer and I'm excited to see how everything plays out and to see what kinds of adventures we all get to go on. lucky lucky lucky.

A few big ups and downs this week but I have to tell you all right now that as of this moment my life is in grrrreat shape and I'm very happy.
And I keep thinking "I'm so lucky" which is a nice place to be in.



WHITE PANTHER GIRLFRIEND had their first show last night and it was so, so fun! so fun! I'm really interested to see the tape and see if it looked as nice as it felt. We did a format called "the livingroom" which involved us sitting and talking and telling real life stories/information and I liked that part a lot. We like each other a lot and are interested in each other's business so that makes things a thousand times easier.
This is a really nice team we have going... and in between practice and show we had a pizza party and man, we can just talk for hours given the chance.

so much comedy stuff these days so many things to see and do and so many plans in my head about how to become a good worker (endless struggle, man).
I'm not working and creating to the degree I would like to be. Not even close.



and, of course, lots of time spent at hoops. I just like watching Canucks games and hanging out with some of the best buds. sue me.
The guy at the far end was grilling me about who are my favourite comedians and how funny I am. He bought me a drink so I let him. He just about blew a gasket when I said I love Gilda Radner. Blew a gasket in a good way.

There's not enough time in the days these days! I need more hours because I don't have any alone time lately and I haven't caught up on all my tv shows. Ha, wow. big problems.

I guess without winter we wouldn't get the excitement of spring

My new improv team (which I am beyond over the moon about), WHITE PANTHER GIRLFRIEND, will be having our very very first show on Sunday March 25th at 8p.m. as part of Unit 102's Sex Dungeon improv nights. If you consider yourself my friend I would challenge you to attend this show.


No, but if you are my real live friend from real life who wants to still be my friend in the future,
we have the official dates for our second city conservatory grad show:
Saturday June 16th in the afternoon
and
Thursday July 5th at 10:30

I got another job (now I have seventeen, approximately) working in the office of a local theatre and rental space and I'm pretty into the idea of working in an office and being office-y. I can make almost anything a party/event in my mind. Wonder how long my office enthusiasm will last!
I really just like being able to wear my own clothes. Take that, black pants!!








I bought different gluten-free bread because it was on sale but it's kind of powdery not the best.

Somehow I managed to get up at reasonable time today! 9:30! that's a totally acceptable time, right? for me, at least.

Dollface and I had pho for dinner last night and she gave me a gift and the gift was all of these flower-print sheets. So beautiful!
except the reason why I got them is because they are selling the cottage in the springtime. How heartbreaking!

I'm so happy for my flower-bed though. And it will go so well with my flower-wall. If any of you want to paint me flower pictures or find me flower pictures for my wall, I'd be so into that!


Oh yeah, our show went really well yesterday! Our group is good!

hahaa classic. We definitely drank in the park afterward for an extended period of time. Why not!

the class that went after us yesterday was the conservatory 6 group, which is the last level of con, and they were so fun! I cannot wait for us to get to write our own sketches and perform them! Getting to do our best characters and best ideas!
There were these two girls from the other class who did a couple of sweet scenes that depended on them being such a great duo and I'm trying to convince my favourite improv bud (this girl here) that we need to be like them. She's the funniest so I'm just going to jump on that bandwagon like whoa.


Apparently my old friend ee gets into town today. I'm hoping that we can arrange some very fun hangs this week. She's pretty much the boss of fun, so it shouldn't be tooo hard.

Also I'm working the hockey pre-season game tonight which is exciting because it means that soon hockey season starts again in earnest and then I get to go back to going to Hoops all the time with Norman! what a funtime!

Honestly, I don't know what's wrong with me! Whenever I think about updating I think "no, I just can't right now". For no reason!

We had Mixtape Club Dinner Party last night at Mrs's house! I lovelovelove mixtape club, which you've probably gathered if you know me IRL or see me on twitter or fb.
Whatever, I love it.
It's always just such a lovely fucking comfortable time with people I don't get to see nearly enough of but who I loooove so hard.



Mrs. did a really wonderful, stand-up job of accommodating our (my) various dietary restrictions. I basically ate a pound of brie, probably not the best plan but it was so delicious! And there were gluten-free crackers!


Whose red ghost is that? I dunno.

Also, rootbeer floats with coconut-milk ice cream are a genius idea, jfyi.


Arrow got to come because he lives at Mrs's house, not because we're expanding Mixtape Club. Don't get jealous. haha, aww Arrow was being very cute and helpful.










I'm working all week this week except today because I have a show and except Tuesday because I have a class. Improv is costing me all of my dollars. I do love improv, though.
We did a musical class for the first time last week and I guess most of the people did all of the levels through Second City before doing our conservatory program but I've only done classes with Bad Dog and so they have some experience with singing and I really, really don't. My favourite classmate asked me what was wrong last week because I think my nervous were super visible.
The problem with singing is that I wish with all my heart that I were good at it, but I'm really not very strong! Therefore I care too much and it makes me uncomfortable.
It'll be alright, though. I think I'm going to get excellent of singing in character for sure. And I have yet to break out my impression of David Sedaris's impression of Billie Holliday and that's a show-stopper for sure.

sorry to those of you who are sick of hipstamatic, it's now mixtape club tradition!

You can't really get a good sense of how nice and wonderfully decorated Mrs. and Arrow's place is from these photos but it's really quite, quite perfect. I'm pretty jealous. It has a lot of stuff in it. I just love stuff.
Sometimes I bring home more stuff and Yulie says "more stuff??" like we don't need 4 new mason jars or some shit. Yahhh right.




I think I might get the Christmas edition of Mixtape Club again this year and if I do I'm going to make it a Christmas brunch and make it all to be just like Christmas morning breakfast in our family! Ohhhh man, that would be so so so fun.

Also, I'm super excited about decorating this house for Christmas! I've never had a banister before! I have to make stockings for my roommates!! aiaiaiaai.
Leave me alone, this is the only way I can get through winter, obviously!
