Guys I bet you're wondering how my road trip went!
Well, it started out by me doing a good job on packing, see above.
Actually we didn't even drink the champagne because I got too tired. hahaaa classssic.

ROAD TRIP!!
I lovelovelove roadtrips. you can't really tell here but I really do. I smiled so much. Peever said, "It's nice to see you this happy". Yeahyeahyeah. Also happy here because Peevs brought me a "playoff gift", this Canucks tuque. Prettypretty nice guy there.

Our first stop was at Peller estates winery for lunch with my old school pal. I hadn't seen this lady in probably 4 or 5 years? Insane! I really missed her and so it was great to hug her up and chat about our lives.
Untitled
Oh, also we ate SO MUCH great, great food. Peller was great with making all my food both gluten-free aaaand vegetarian. So helpful! So nice!
They even had gluten-free bread so I got to try the ice wine butter. NOM.
(I'm very awkward about all my food requirements and I actually hate and fear eating in most restaurants and so when people are especially nice/accepting/accommodating then I pretty much want to weep with gratitude.)

ughgughguhhh cheese plate.   :) :)

Tourist o'clock!
We actually had so much fun at the falls. I'm not surprised as we are two of the funnest people I've ever heard of, but I think we did an especially good job.

We got an amazing groupon (it was actually from Travelzoo, I believe) for our hotel room and it included
two king bed bedroom (I called window) suite on the 41st floor
cocktails in the evening (not awesome but hey, free drink is a free drink)
$50 Dave & Buster voucher
$40 voucher for either the keg or t.g.i.fridays
breakfast buffet

is that all? I don't remember. Anyway. Good deal!!!

this was the view from our hotel room. jeezily, hey?

Anyway. We did lots of things! We did Dave & Busters (won some sweet prizes!) and went up the Skylon tower and bowled and wandered around were complete tourists. So nice.

making it rain tickets we won at Dave & Busters! (we actually got so few prizes for that amount of tickets!)

Untitled
I think these views are from the skylon tower? probably!

I was very, very excited and bent-set on riding the skywheel. It was nice.

Hotel room:
Untitled
I put all the pillows on one bed. Obviously!

Untitled
Jacuzzi tub -- if I could have just stayed a bit longer I probably would have lived in there. We had three sinks. God knows why but I for sure used them all just because.

Untitled
Breakfast! Not bad not bad.
Untitled
Maid of the mist looked a bit scary to ride on. Ragdoll, I think Peevs said about it.
Untitled
Skylon tower photoshoot.
Untitled
I'm not mad here, I've just got a lot of sun in my eyes!
Untitled
Sigh sigh so pretty.

I started getting a bad cold in the evening, which was a bit of a piss-off but it wasn't the worst. I did get a bit grumbly, though.
And in the morning I was pretty grouchy but I'm getting better (a bit) at not being the worst grumbliest human and also peevs is good about being patient and for that I'm pretty grateful, gotta say.

Untitled
this.
this is what we found in the St. Catherines Value Village. ughughghuhghh. An almost full set, even got the gravy bowl and platter and the creamer and sugarer! nice nice!

Untitled
Also found this sweeeet Canucks shirt. Because I like sports paraphernalia now, I guess.
Untitled

Anyway. If all romantic vacations are this fun then I guess I'd go on more.
Yeah, for sure I would.
Untitled
Okay I leave you with this most nerdy picture. I apologize! (jk I don't)

rock around the clock

Here are some pictures of Dayna's parents' house!

it's prettttttttty amazing. Everything is fifties and I meant to take a picture of how the basement is pretty much a malt shoppe, sorry guys should have gotten a snap of that for you.

I like houses that are warm and comfortable the best. Ones where you aren't afraid of wrecking things or messing stuff up. Those are the best. Plus this one has so much to look at you never get bored. Dayna and I measured ourselves and it said I was two inches taller than I thought I was (5'3, really? I beg to differ I basically can't reach anything) and it said Dayna was one inch shorter than she thought.... hmmm

This is the room I got to have!

I messed it up a bit! It's lovely to have one's own room, that's for sure. And there were some really pretty records on the wall. I liked the purple marbled ones the best.
I never ever want to listen to this record:

not kidding.
here is where we spent virtually all of our time:

Dayna is now obsessed with getting a hot tub. It's a priority before a car or children, apparently. Amazing. I got ice in my hair first and Dayna was jealous.

I wish I were on vacation again now. Vacation is the best. Saskatoon on the 16th though, which is ridiculously soon. I mean, how did it get to be December so quickly?! Christmas is outrageously soon! I'm not ready!!

uh oh toooo cute. this is in the corner of the bathroom!

When I have a house I'm for sure getting back into miniatures. Everything is better in miniature.

I also forgot to take a photo of the sign in the bathroom which says
"please don't throw cigarette butts in the urinal as it makes them soggy and hard to light"

drive-back pictures!

ohhh yeah we had the dogs with us the whole time too, I don't know if I mentioned. But they didn't come to the rock shows with us.

guysguysguys you all suck because you don't leave comments and you must know that I have nothing to do all day except check the internet, so what the eff, hey?

just kidding I had a suuuuuper busy day today. By which I mean I had one audition to go to on the other side of town and then I came home and made mushroom soup and soon I have to go to work! Busy by my standards.

I like running into buds at auditions, it calms me down. I get a tense face when I go to auditions. Winning quality.

Haaa on the streetcar over this man was asking me about my iphone and then he asked me where I was off to (school?), I told him I was going to an audition. I didn't realize that by doing so I was inviting him to tell me all about how to go about my career! Turns out I have to move to New York or LA! man, if I'd only known!

Now I know what to do though. Thank goodness.

not the kind of twins who look alike just the kind that...

"I promise to wait my whole life for a perfect love, but keep busy in the meantime."
 - St. Augustine

(I saw this quote on saidthegramophone.com, not recently really but it stuck with me, also it is especially funny paired with the photo above)

I was up until four last night, mostly being productive.
I got into writing about an hour and a half before I had to leave for work yesterday. That seems like enough time to get something done, and I did, but it's also hard to leave when I'm in the middle of something good. I know it's something good when I get that glaze-eyed concentration. When I find myself walking around my apartment making tea without realizing that I've gotten up because I'm still so intent on what's happening in what I'm working on.

My big problem (HA, which one of the big problems?!) is that I have a hard time working on one project all the way through. Yesterday I opened up the short film that I wrote which I need to edit and instead I ended up working on a different idea entirely. I need to have a moratorium on new ideas I have a buttload of projects in mind and I need to finish at least a couple of these. Each one is pretty fun and different, though!

(I am filled with the light of a thousand suns)

The craziest part is that I never feel stronger, sexier, happier than when I've got a good idea brewing or am accomplishing something. Not that these ideas come to proper fruition that often but even when it seems like they might it's a high I can basically live off of.
It makes me want to smile and dance around. All the good things brewing in my future seem almost too wonderful to bear.

It might be a better high than meeting a new babe, even. And we know how I feel about new babes (mmm babes).

It's still the kind of high that comes with the fear of let-down because there are always difficulties with anything. Especially in terms of me and getting things done.
But it gets better and better, bit by bit.

And I'm a pretty good writer! I'm not even kidding about this. Not the best and I'm having DEFINITE issues with structure and I think with over-explaining in the scripts, and I should for sure be taking some workshops/classes/go back to school (sponsorship where are you??) but I'm not bad notbad, I'll tell ya that for free.

.

Right, so, we went to see Sweet Thing on Friday in Ottawa, Dayna and I.
The venue was attached to the venue from the night before so we ended up back in the same green room!

Where Dayna's brother had a little siesta.

I took zero photos at the actual show, I don't know why. I was too busy drinking smirnoff ice again (oh god I have no good excuse on this one, sugar craving? I dunno) and being less than party-all-the-time. I think Dayna was disappointed in my lack of party attitude. I wasn't in a bad mood, just tired. It was still really fun, and then Dayna and I had a mini dance party on the empty floor at the end of the night and that's the kind of thing I like.

I like this series, he notices I'm taking pictures

intrigued

ha, we saw this guy out in the road before the show and I was like "why is there a hipster in Ottawa?" because of the green pants but then I realized that we knew him. Classic. I think this guy is so funny, which makes me feel awkward around him. Don't ask me why, I don't have a good explanation for ya. I'm just awkward like that.

then I laughed at him and he went away.
In other news, I'm jealous of how tall and long-limbed Dayna is. But that's nothing new.
Ha, also her sense of style. God I feel frumpy just thinking about this. One day in Ottawa she was wearing a high-waisted skirt which made me want one so I went and changed to be just like her.... not creepy though.
Hahaaah we also decided we were twins. Twins like the movie Twins. "But then who is Danny DeVito, certainly not me!"

same creepy hallway and staircase we went up and down the night before, too! kind of fun, mostly creepy.
I would really like to go on tour some day. On tour with what? I don't know. My rap band? probably.

These guys were happy to see each other!
I was happy that they were happy. It's both hard and reassuring to spend time with great couples. Hard in the jealousy department and reassuring in the way that it's good to know that sometimes excellent people find each other at the right time and want to be together.

Dayna has more photos on her camera I wonder if there's any cute ones of me, that's what I'm after!!!

I've been going through a big blushing phase again (otherwise known as my life) and I blush at every possible thing and especially I blush when I think someone might have a crush on me/think I have a crush on them, ESPECIALLY if I am not at all interested. You can 100% bet that this leads to some pretty awkward interactions.
I think I'm going to have to start wearing foundation. I am not even kidding at all.

Well, I mean I am kidding because I am too lazy for that noise.
