Turkey Bird and I cleaned the kitchen and reorganized that shelf so don't worry. Turkey Bird claims to like cleaning. Maybe I should try liking cleaning. It's all just a matter of deciding things, maybe. (it's not.)


During film fest Carla Ghee and I went ouuuuttt on the town. That's when I bloodied my shins. Low-lying stages are hazards. Shots are hazards. Carla Ghee and I are very much in love. She's a treat.




Also, we went to the sxsw party at tiff. Nic, Norman and I.
Norman and Nic are probably the most heavily influential people in my life these days. They know everything about me and are huge guiding lights and they have both (separately) watched me lie around on the floor in pure emotional agony (or I'm dramatic) in the past few weeks. I owe them both.
They are both geniuses. I liiiiiiike that about them.


hahaa I look dumb in all of these. I look dumb 80% of the time, so it's good that it gets represented in here occasionally!




Ron lives in his studio down the street now, instead of here with us, and they have a trampoline in their living room. I don't know why but I'll never object!


I need unlimited moneys. I wonder what I'd be like if I'd grown up with money, if I had funding for any project I felt like doing.
It's going to be interesting to see if I actually do get better at working, get better at taking myself seriously, etc.

Whoa, it's weird to think about how I have to pack up everrry single thing in this entire apartment in some capacity!



It's moments like these where I feel blessed to live in such a small space. Not that I am not aware that I'm going to be both surprised and terrified at how much stuff I've managed to cram into these two small rooms.

Am I having moving anxiety? YES!
Except luckily I'm pretty anti-worry and I just party and drink a lot which decreases my stress levels mostly. So I'm fine.

It's not panic time yet. But soon!!!

Once I finish dicking around on the internet here, I will forsure start packing. Hopefully.



Also, Bridesmaids tonight with a bunch of my favourite ladies!
I'm a bit too pumped up to see this despite managing to basically avoid the trailers (I like to know nothing about films before I see them), but I'm not that hard to please (movie-wise) and I'll be looking to like.



I had kind of a stupidly busy week and then weekend, and I'm hoping that I cool my jets a bit this week... Except I already know a billion funtimes I'm going to need to be having in the next few days.
Number One (obviously) being the Canucks game tomorrow at Hoops!
The babies are doing so well, I'm hoping they win this one and then it's cup finals!!

What are we going to do with our time after hockey is over?

Yeah so there was totally a suuuper tiny tabby kitten at the house I was at last night. If you show me a kitten then I will be completely uninterested in basically anything else ever for the rest of the night.
Also, this was a particularly good kitten (just kidding I've never met a kitten I didn't like), super ferocious and playful and obnoxious! Just the way I like them. Also, seeing it meet a tiny fluffy dog was pretty funny. A spiky-backed mad kitten is even cuter than a regular kitten!



Nothing fills me with such unbridled joy as a tiny beast to cuddle. I feel like if I could muster up this sort of enthusiasm for any man, I'd marry him right then. haaa.



Bellwoods is the best, hey? I have no issues with how I'm going to be living even closer to it. Does anyone want to play tennis? Anyone want to get me a tennis racket and a tennis partner? And then teach me how to play? I bet I'd be good (won't be good).
I bet we're going to find more and more awesome buds all summer long there.
Finally met one of Carla Ghee's friends there yesterday and she was almost as excellent as Carla Ghee had lead me to believe.
I hope she accepts my facebook friend-request!



My dreams this weekend have been even more intense than usual. I dreamt last night that I was having my photos taken with my "boyfriend" (he was no one I know IRL, kind of weedy, actually, and floppy-haired) and he was furious with me because everyone could tell from the photos that I was not in love. and he told me I had no capacity for love.
I wanted to try harder.

In another dream my mother had died awhile prior and my brother, E, and I were sharing the house in Saskatoon, both living there sort of part time and he came in and I turned expecting to see her but of course she wasn't there. And I looked at E and said "you know, I expected it to be alright at some point. but it won't ever be okay."
I don't know if I were sleep-crying but in my dream I don't know if I have ever felt as sad.


Hmmm. Well. now that I've gotten myself depressed all over again, I'm going to go make some curried lentil quinoa soup and hopefully get some shit done around here.

I just did the laundry and bought groceries, I am so productive!
Lemony fresh laundry is delicious except it's hot up here and the hot laundry isn't as appealing to lie in. Win some, lose some!!

holy shit that tomato sandwich I just ate was so good. I can't believe I resisted making a second one. Laaater.

Okay, last night I went to the Whippersnapper closing party funeral thing and it was very fun.

Day was covering it for BlogTO so she took a bunch of pictures, I hope that I get to see/steal those photos as well. I stole these two off facebook. I feel that the rule is, if I am tagged in it, I get to use it. Right?

Yeah Whippersnapper was sweaty as all fuck and I got stupidly drunk (I've decided that I either have to give up eating or drinking to lose weight guess which one I chose. JUST KIDDING, MOTHER.) and only danced a little bit it was so packed. I prefer dancing when it's medium-busy and then I can really giver, ya know?

Boys Who Say No played and they said, Remember when we partied in Saskatoon, that was so fun! and I said, I remember how we had all the good times!

I haven't even had any coffee today. Although I am drinking black iced tea/lemonade and it's the best.

I am working all through this long weekend but that's okay I need the money plus I've already been vacationing all through life 'cause I'm lucky like that. IT'S LIKE THAT AND THAT'S THE WAY IT IS.

I hung around with Violet all day yesterday and then I ended up meeting up with her on Dundas at 1 a.m. and going to Press Club to meet up with Noodle and some other babes.

When Violet and Noodle got introduced they had to clarify who they were on my blog to better understand each other and Noodle said 'I'M NOODLE!' and I laughed and laughed. Especially because Noodle chose her own nickname for certain.

Ewww I don't want to go to work last night. I dreamt last night that I skipped it.
I also had two individual dreams about making out with a big crush of mine and in the dream it was way dreamier than real life, but possibly because I wasn't as nervous as real life oh and because in the dream he was nice. HAHAAAAAAHAHAH.

At the Red Bull we bought those peanut butter marshmallow squares that are the besssst ever. I should just make some. If I didn't have to go to work right now I would. Certainly.

Oh yeah yeah yeah I'm back in Toronto and WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH THIS HEAT??
I just don't like it I don't find it funny anymore, it's not great it's just stupid now.
if I didn't have AC I would probably want to die right now.

But I just had delicious nutritious brunch at Aunties and Uncles with my pals and so I'm still happy to be back.
Also Noodle, Niki and Cpt. Heh picked me up at the airport and Niki made a feast and sangria and we went to the park and Niki and I stayed there talking until probably after 4 in the morning but it was still hot out.

And last night Noodle and I went to Camp 4 which was SO HOT in a technically hot way and there were allllll these good-looking sweaty people, especially men with tattoos and sexy ladies wearing little clothing. It was so hot it felt like a sauna or a joke but it was almost okay if you had a pint of ice-water to put against your wrists to cool the blood a bit plus everyone all melty and sexy like that is pretty appealing?

Summer has pretty much gotten all up my heartbeat and I'm eying up the city and wanting to press my forehead against your back and wanting to hold hands with everyone for a year.

Is taking the ferry to the island not one of the best parts of going to the island in general? Love it! Love boats! This time we took a little ferry that wasn't my favourite, next time let's go to a different part of the island so I can take that big one with all the decks I like. Boats!


I don't even know how to explain to you how much I love beaches, swimming, sand, skies, etc. You probably feel the same way? Though I hear that there are people who do not see the draw. BEACH FOREVER.
I do need to get a beach umbrella, though. Why don't they make super-compact cabanas I could put in my pocket?
Mmm cabana boy.
Ha, jokes, I would never want a cabana boy. Gross!

I'm into these Dollarama sunglasses. Total sweet deal. All sunglasses look too big on my unnaturally small face, though.

Giant Tiger bikini! Prune's mum bought her one and then I went back to get a matching one. I want to go to the island with her to wear them together. Oh maybe we should get Shambers and Lols to come in their matching outfits, too??

I didn't really take any pictures of Niki really because she still hates having her picture taken so instead I took double the amount of pictures of myself. No, I would have taken this many of me anyway. I was pretty tipsy all afternoon starting with vodka in slurpees and going on from there. Sun + booze equals total zone-out if you are me. Also zone-into taking 100 pictures of myself. Embarrassing for the people I was with!


Haaaaaaaaaa the longing gazes are murdering me. I would never be able to take me seriously if I were you.

I was obsessed with getting the sun on my head just right, ya know?

Look at that mess of foods behind me! Reminder for the future, always bring twice as much food as you think you'll need to eat on your picnic.

I recommend the clothing optional beach because even on this long-weekend Sunday it still wasn't super-packed or anything. Plus most people had their clothes on. Plus we watched a guy with a super long dong slow jog down the beach in front of us. Slap slap slap.

Cpt. Heh talked on his cellphone. I had a dream that night that I got that same cellphone. BORING dreams.


Niki tried throwing things into my mouth. This has become a popular game in our friend-circle. Do we spend way too much time in the park doing nothing? yes.
Not once did I catch anything in my mouth. Gross shut up.

In this one I am the giant and Niki is a tiny minion and she is impressed by my giantess and my prowess, also.

Watched some people build a fire. Looked like so much fun. We headed back the city when it got dark, pretty much.

other reminder for future is that an island trip doesn't have to be the biggest deal every. You can just go out for a few hours it doesn't have to be the whole day. Although that is fun, too.


This summer already feels stupid-intense and epic. Anyone else?
