Scotch tasting Tuesday night care of Dollface hooking it up. Yeeeeah. I like scotch! Oh, who am I kidding, I like everything.
Especially everything free. It's fortuitous that the past couple of nights have basically been Freevenings because I really couldn't justify going out otherwise! 


Some scotches we liked and some we didn't like. Obviously our favourite was the one that's like $100/bottle. classic. So tasty though, aged in desert wine casks. uh huh tell me more.

I had to dress up a bit (cleavage, I mean) because I knew these two ladies were going and they are always dressed up. and they always have perfect hair. How do people even get perfect hair all the time?

Okay, the thing about Hipstamatic is that it's basically the only way I've found to take decent flash-lit pictures. Flashes are awful! I cannot believe that cameras don't have better flashes yet.


I didn't realize it was Robbie Burns day and I still have no idea who that is, but I did have a Robbie Burns cocktail. I will celebrate basically anything. I'm hoping to marry into another culture so I can have way more holidays. Goddamn, let's celebrate!

Once you're done a scotch tasting it's best to go over to Baby Huey's to do Karaoke.

I laughed forever at Mrs. doing "Pony" by Genuwine. If you don't know Mrs. IRL, she's basically exactly Liz Lemon. Now picture Liz Lemon doing Genuwine and humping the mic stand.
Uh huh.

I should remember to never do karaoke. I always think I want to and then it turns out I am wrong. I'm not a strong singer generally, and whenever I get around to doing karaoke I'm at the point where I can't string a sentence together, let alone carry a tune. Amazing!


I guess it's only me I'm disappointing by messing up on babebreak. But I want you all to know, that I'm quite serious about babebreak. Or I have been, and will hopefully continue to be, despite minor disruptions.
Also, part of the babebreak plan was to drink less. Which I still plan on doing and to be fair, I'm not being the worst right now, just medium-bad.

And I have to ask you; Would you say no to a scotch tasting? And then multiple scotch drinks after the tasting? Including a scotch mojito?
Would you say no to a wrap party of a show you've never watched which stars a guy you had a mild crush on as a teenager? Would you say no to open bar?

No, I didn't think so.
So cut me some slack when I take off my slacks.

I'm having post-cottage depression. Don't try leaving the cottage for the last time of the summer while being hormonal, it will not end well. I wanted to weep.

Holy, I was so ill this afternoon. I'm still not feeling 100% but I have to go work the Bills game. Wow, wow I don't want to.
I can't believe how sick I was, I felt like a teenager all over again. It was a good reminder that maybe if I'm only medium-sick I should just feel lucky. Ohhh bodies.

Niki's birthday happened earlier this week so we went to Bellwoods. Last park drink of the year? Maybe...

Niki really hates having her picture taken (opposite of me) so every photo will not contain her face. Such is my birthday tribute.


Poppy has now taken to dressing like a voyageur. Perfect.


I brought snacks. I said I would bring snacks and then I did. Unlike last week when we gathered at Cheespie's house and Cpt. Heh said he would bring snacks and you know what? He didn't!

And we laughed and laughed and laughed.
Those brownies were really good. A bit less dense then I'd prefer -- almost like cake. Which is nice. A thick, gooey cake. Heck yes.


I also brought Maria Christina, seen here dribbling down my chin. Classic. Ughhh messy. That wine is so ridiculously sweet. I would even go so far as to say it is sickeningly sweet.

Haha Dollface and Kaya came and Kaya (is a dog and) was super over-stimulated and running around at top speed,

I'm pretty sure that's a picture of David trying to play with/knock over Kaya, but who knows...

The best was when the police cruiser drove into the park and we had multiple open wine bottles aaand a dog off leash. Classic.


The night of unflattering pictures!

Remember when we didn't used to have digital cameras? (only a year or two ago is you are me) That was weird.



I had a pretty funtime. Niki and I lay on our backs to practice our laughs. I've been working on a really fun HOOOO HOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO one sort of like an owl but also not at all. Apparently it sounds a bit like crying but I don't think so really. It maybe sounds a little bit hysterical, fair enough.


I LOVE HOUSE.
I know all the reasons why it isn't that good but I don't care. I love House and Cuddy and when the show is over they will get married for sure. But they can't do that until the show is done because then the show will jump the shark just like when lois and clark got married and then they had floating sex in the air and then a baby got randomly dropped off at their house. That was weird.


Okay I want to leave a few minutes early today so that hopefully I can get some bike lights. As soon as I buy them it will become way too cold to bike, such is life.
It's still so mild out and nice. If I could transfer these nice days over into February/March (aka depression central) I would, though.

It is winding like there is no tomorrow out there, that's annoying. It's shaking my windows.

Where did the CN tower go?

Yesterday I got my camera and had time to kill before work so I wandered around downtown and took pictures. Pretty fun...



It was so, so foggy out, kind of nice though. Melancholy in the right way (for me).


The camera's 6x zoom is kind of neat. These were taken from the same place of the same buildings. I can almost spy into people's houses with this zoom.


My mum says she is done my new duvet cover and that it is the best thing ever and that she is having a hard time sending it to me because it is so wonderful.
I want it!
I had a stress dream about it now because it's so built up I dreamt she made it single-sized and it was completely uneven - shaped sort of like the province of Saskatchewan. And she'd returned all the chocolate brown sheets and used white instead with just a tiny strip of the fabrics we'd chosen down the front.
And then when I pointed out how bad it was she was all like "DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I SLAVED OVER THAT? DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH TIME AND EFFORT I PUT INTO THAT? IT IS PERFECT! IT IS THE BEST THING I'VE EVER MADE!"

I sure hope that doesn't happen in real life.
