new tradition I drink tequila coolers when out with improv buds

Somehow I managed to get up at reasonable time today! 9:30! that's a totally acceptable time, right? for me, at least.

This looks like a realistic photo of me, I think. I still have such a hard time imagining myself as a real-life human who exists in the world. self-perception is so bizarre.

Dollface and I had pho for dinner last night and she gave me a gift and the gift was all of these flower-print sheets. So beautiful!
except the reason why I got them is because they are selling the cottage in the springtime. How heartbreaking!
dislike.

I'm so happy for my flower-bed though. And it will go so well with my flower-wall. If any of you want to paint me flower pictures or find me flower pictures for my wall, I'd be so into that!

Oh yeah, our show went really well yesterday! Our group is good!

awwwww a couple of my favourite buds from improv! ha, actually I'm a pretty big fan of all my improv group these days!

hahaa classic. We definitely drank in the park afterward for an extended period of time. Why not!

the class that went after us yesterday was the conservatory 6 group, which is the last level of con, and they were so fun! I cannot wait for us to get to write our own sketches and perform them! Getting to do our best characters and best ideas!
There were these two girls from the other class who did a couple of sweet scenes that depended on them being such a great duo and I'm trying to convince my favourite improv bud (this girl here) that we need to be like them. She's the funniest so I'm just going to jump on that bandwagon like whoa.

Apparently my old friend ee gets into town today. I'm hoping that we can arrange some very fun hangs this week. She's pretty much the boss of fun, so it shouldn't be tooo hard.

Also I'm working the hockey pre-season game tonight which is exciting because it means that soon hockey season starts again in earnest and then I get to go back to going to Hoops all the time with Norman! what a funtime!

step one to becoming a better person: do what you say you'll do

Whoa, it's weird to think about how I have to pack up everrry single thing in this entire apartment in some capacity!

It's moments like these where I feel blessed to live in such a small space. Not that I am not aware that I'm going to be both surprised and terrified at how much stuff I've managed to cram into these two small rooms.

Am I having moving anxiety? YES!
Except luckily I'm pretty anti-worry and I just party and drink a lot which decreases my stress levels mostly. So I'm fine.

It's not panic time yet. But soon!!!

Once I finish dicking around on the internet here, I will forsure start packing. Hopefully.

Also, Bridesmaids tonight with a bunch of my favourite ladies!
I'm a bit too pumped up to see this despite managing to basically avoid the trailers (I like to know nothing about films before I see them), but I'm not that hard to please (movie-wise) and I'll be looking to like.

I had kind of a stupidly busy week and then weekend, and I'm hoping that I cool my jets a bit this week... Except I already know a billion funtimes I'm going to need to be having in the next few days.
Number One (obviously) being the Canucks game tomorrow at Hoops!
The babies are doing so well, I'm hoping they win this one and then it's cup finals!!

What are we going to do with our time after hockey is over?
Taking reccos on new passtimes...

Yeah so there was totally a suuuper tiny tabby kitten at the house I was at last night. If you show me a kitten then I will be completely uninterested in basically anything else ever for the rest of the night.
Also, this was a particularly good kitten (just kidding I've never met a kitten I didn't like), super ferocious and playful and obnoxious! Just the way I like them. Also, seeing it meet a tiny fluffy dog was pretty funny. A spiky-backed mad kitten is even cuter than a regular kitten!

Nothing fills me with such unbridled joy as a tiny beast to cuddle. I feel like if I could muster up this sort of enthusiasm for any man, I'd marry him right then. haaa.

Bellwoods is the best, hey? I have no issues with how I'm going to be living even closer to it. Does anyone want to play tennis? Anyone want to get me a tennis racket and a tennis partner? And then teach me how to play? I bet I'd be good (won't be good).
I bet we're going to find more and more awesome buds all summer long there.
Finally met one of Carla Ghee's friends there yesterday and she was almost as excellent as Carla Ghee had lead me to believe.
I hope she accepts my facebook friend-request!

My dreams this weekend have been even more intense than usual. I dreamt last night that I was having my photos taken with my "boyfriend" (he was no one I know IRL, kind of weedy, actually, and floppy-haired) and he was furious with me because everyone could tell from the photos that I was not in love. and he told me I had no capacity for love.
I wanted to try harder.

In another dream my mother had died awhile prior and my brother, E, and I were sharing the house in Saskatoon, both living there sort of part time and he came in and I turned expecting to see her but of course she wasn't there. And I looked at E and said "you know, I expected it to be alright at some point. but it won't ever be okay."
I don't know if I were sleep-crying but in my dream I don't know if I have ever felt as sad.

Hmmm. Well. now that I've gotten myself depressed all over again, I'm going to go make some curried lentil quinoa soup and hopefully get some shit done around here.

this is a good snapshot of what my life is like these days

ew, my landlord called me at 9 a.m. this morning. RUDE.
and so I've been up since then. A bit dumb, considering how I went to bed at 4ish.
A BIT TIRED NOW.

hahaaaa I was trying to describe to someone why I don't like certain blogs and how they are all boring like: "today I did this and then this person came and then this happened and went here and bought something and then drank"
aaaaaand then I realized, HEY, that's my blog!!!!

RIGHT ON.

entertaining!!!!!

Prune and I went to Bellwoods last week with kaya. Kaya loves Prune more than me. I can deal with that, I just don't want to have to. so now Prune is not invited to hang out with the dog anymore.

(ugh, fuck guys, just kidding)

Prune and I have a big love and Yes, she is that pretty. I knowwwww.

also, this outfit was killing me. I love the hiked-up tights, that's how I wear my tights all daylong. as Prune says "now my belly won't get cold!"

aaaaawwwwwwwww

Kaya doesn't care at all if I throw a stick or run around. But if Prune does it it's like magic.

remember when it was a sunny spring there for a minute? where'd that go? all rain all week. all rainy and grey.
it's okay okay I guess. I'm taking a mini-break for party-all-the-time for the next couple of days.

actually, planning on toning it down. I know I keep saying that. but... well, there's nowhere to go but maybe relaxasaurus things a bit. ya know?

plus I have 1 billion good ideas in my brains that keep slipping away because I never write them down. Nice, hey??
plus I have some good ideas still that need writing down.

I showed my apartment a lot this afternoon. It was bizarre. I WANT TO STAY HERE FOREVER. no. no, I'm ready to move. It's just hard.
I think it is not going to get easier over the next couple of weeks when I go through everything and clear everything out and pack up stuff...
Luckily I am keeping myself occupied by planning for the new place. I've got a notebook on the go that's just for ideas of what I want to try in the new apartment.

I'm also thinking about theme-parties and funtimes we can have there. Obviously.

KEEP BEING EXCITED. that's what I'm telling myself.

Flash Gordon and I were talking last night about how we both have lived in the same places and worked the same jobs (together) for the past 5 years. I feel like moving is setting things in motion in some ways. It's learning how to go through changes and get used to new things.
I'm going to hopefully stop being set-in-my-ways, and more open to people and learning how to take care of a home and respect spaces.

Just another part in my self-training for becoming the best mum ever.
what you're not supposed to tell people all the time that you want kids someday?
fuck that. you know what I hate? when people go on about how they don't want kids because they think it makes them somehow cooler than people who do.
Wanting to be a good parent is a totally cool goal and I'm the coolest guy I know of.
Or will be in a few years at least.

Also, at some point I'm pretty sure I'm going to be the best partner ever. IN CASE YOU WANTED TO APPLY.

Responsible parents drink double-sized bottles of Corona, right?

Me and Carla Ghee should probably just have babies now. We're so calm, collected, settled in our lives.  And goddammit are we responsible!

Uncle Norman won't be allowed to hold the babies. hahaaa. just kidding, Norman, you can.
Actually, I really like Norman's new blog post. All of his blogs, actually.

Oh yeah also, last night we were at Hoops:

and Ellefry (favourite bartender, obvi) insisted I should blog this perfect caesar she made for Flash Gordon:

hahahaaaaa Flash Gordon face.

Also then one of our friends from the comedy shows we go to was in this commercial that kept playing and Flash Gordon insisted it wasn't him and I insisted that it was and then I emailed him saying something like  "PROVE ME RIGHT" (paraphrase) and he happened to be at his friend's place across the street and came by and told Flash Gordon that I was right.
Haaaa, great timing!
I need more people to just show up and say I'm right. for sure!

Then he stayed for some beers and we chatted away. awwww funtimes with friends!

I wore my Canucks colours and then we won!!

I ended off my evening by going up to dot for a bit with the gang, which is always nice. Especially if I'm going to take it easy a bit this week (and by easy I mean, not be at the bar until last call every single night).

Wish me luck!

Also, someone come over soon and start packing for me. Yeah?
Or at least come eat cookies with me.

flash gordon's nuit blanche pictures!

Flash Gordon's photos from Nuit Blanche!

Prune and I were being a bit silly. She arrived at my house in that get up only she was just wearing the leather jacket, not the parka. Obviously after a few blocks I made her switch with me. I, on the other hand, dressed solely for function, not fashion. Layers for years.
We walked our bikes through yorkville. It was nice having the streets closed off. Did I say that already? Probably.
I inspected her legs and her sock/tights which were driving her nuts!

Adding photos using blogger is  pretty much the WORST, hey? Flickr may take longer to input, etc., but man is it easier to deal with.

We made a stranger take our picture!

Flash Gordon and I were both sporting our new glasses!

I try to never be photographed with a cigarette but Flash Gordon assured me that this would make me look "cool", extra funny because she never smokes!
****
I would like to point out that I am not a "smoker" but that I have always, always enjoyed cigarettes. Maybe "enjoy" is the wrong word. I want them so badly and then as soon as I have one I think "ew, why am I having this? I feel gross now." and then awhile later I feel the exact same way again. Extra bad when I'm drinking. Obviously.
This summer's been terrible for a whole bunch of badnews activities, namely cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs. I've managed to avoid taking drugs (man, I think I would like all drugs way too much, therefore can't go near them because it'd be such a bad scene) , but whenever anyone is smoking I think "I'd like to smoke, too!"
I don't think about smoking when I'm not around smokers so the easy fix to me ever lighting up is everyone else quitting. DEAL?
***
Thank you very much to my aunt and her new husband for the flask I received as a gift for doing nothing in their wedding! I am putting it to great use!

After yorkville we went down to walk the dog! Flash Gordon said "aren't you going to pick up after her?" and I said "yes, but right now she's only peeing".
I wonder if that is a common misconception for people who don't walk dogs, watching all their owners look away as they pee and think they're being very irresponsible? Hmmmmmmmmm

I love Dasani! Just kidding I hate Dasani but sometimes I get it free at work. Fuck Dasani, my water should not have an ingredients list on it!
We then went to a parkinglot off Ossington where Made By Other People were doing that screening. In the above photo I have a mouth full of popcorn and I flask in hand. Once again, I am fully amazed that I am not engaged to be married yet.
SOMEONE SNAP THIS UP BEFORE IT'S GONE.

The flesh-coloured bit at the top of this guy's face is a really terrifying mask that he was scaring people with. That's actually a party face I have on, though, not a scared one.
Hard to tell the difference.
Then these guys came and met up with us and I HAD ALL THE FUN.

Just kidding, Flash Gordon had some of the fun. Haha, that guy just played it cool.
Then we stopped for more mix and snax! I had several flasks with different kinds of alcohol in them. As well as the sweet tea vodka water bottle. Man, Sweet Tea Vodka is so sweet. Sir Burnett, give me a Sweet Tea Vodka sponsorship!
Product placement.

Then we headed to Trinity Bellwoods where Swagger found this grabbing thing. He was pretty into it.

 So was I, actually....
Then Swag said, "let's climb the creepy tree"
I was uncertain! Man, I used to be so good at climbing. Remember at Redberry (Lac Au Claire? I don't know) when I would shimmy up the poles of the swings all the way up and hang from the top? So fun!
Ughhh why am I even posting embarrassing pictures like this?? man, I weigh as least as much as that guy. I almost ruined the boost by not trusting him. Is that a metaphor for my life??
 Cool!

Just chilling in the creepy tree. The creepy tree is very fun for chilling until you realize how much creepiness there is in there. I'm not just talking about us.

Yeah, this cat was pretty much the weirdest/worst party. What the hell? Who even made this?
Annnyway, Flash Gordon apparently doesn't have many pictures from the rest of the night. Too bad I was hoping for at least one of that 20 year-old (JUST KIDDING).
But here's Cpt. Heh,
And here's my house. A very very very fine house. At 6 in the morning.

If you missed my first round-up and iphone photos, it is here!

Today's good news is that maybe I am not that lazy and depressed maybe I should just have picked up more iron supplements a long time ago!
I also picked up some more B complex which I had run out of, also I've been too depressed to take my vitamins/drink enough water/eat properly/take care of myself. Sort of?
I'm obviously just a giant baby. But I kind of wonder if I have a thyroid problem. I wish I had a doctor!

I made a list of things I need to get done. Now to actually do some of them....
