party pics!!!!

I thought there were more photos from this party but it looks like I deleted them all because they were terrible. 

Yes, so Cheespie and sisterCheespie moved to Queen West (is everyone moving West all the damn time these days or what?) and they had a party!!

Here is a picture of the party. Thank god I took this picture, eh? Wow.

It was the night before Valentines Day so I brought Valentines and candy. I love candy. I went to Shoppers on my way over and I picked up a flat of old Christmas candy. People will eat anything! Also how would candy even go bad? All it is is sugar and preservatives. It just gets a bit stale. Delicious. 

Notice I have a real mug despite how the Cheeses bought plastic cups for us to use. Good thing I didn't break it!

He tried to ruin this photo, too. Little did he know the only important things are my eyes and rack. So there.

You can kinda see the giant heart tattoos I drew all over my arms. I also did drawings on other people in the kitchen for awhile there. Cheespie got a snowflake (my absolute favourite thing to draw) and another friend without a nickname got a truck (another of my favourite things to draw).

I can do a perfectly good job of ruining every photo myself.

Last night I went to the bar to watch the hockey game. Just kidding, I went after the game was over to meet up with some people. Too many dudes were out with us so I couldn't really scope around for fresh blood. Gross.

I'm glad I got out of the house for a bit there, though.

I was being just terrible yesterday. I watched hours of internet TV, ignored everything I was supposed to do, and ate everything in sight. I'm not even going to tell you all of it because it's embarrassing. AND FUN.

Ha, I went out with Raymi the other night and (because I'm a bad blogger) I didn't take any pictures but we did order a lot of food even a creme caramel (sogood) for desert and she said "I figure once you start eating you might as well keep going"

I went up to Rosedale with Sass the other night (and by other night I obviously mean a couple of weeks ago). It was kind of a bust in that we met exactly ZERO rich husbands.

We did, however, go down to the washrooms at this place to do a photoshoot. 
 
Classic.





Sass is a better poser than me for certain. There's only so much posing I can take seriously.



This was sort of like an improv game too because I would set the timer on the camera which was balanced precariously on top of the mirror and then I would run back over to Sass who was busy posing already and then I would pose based on how she was posing. Funtimez.

Told you so.

I'm either trying to wrestle her or make love to her. Not that the two are mutually exclusive.


Hmm. I just ate half of three chocolate bars. Well, maybe a little more than half of each. Leave me alone. I can do whatever I want!

So he got on his phone and made the plans.

Anyway, we headed out around 1, they said it was over then anyway, though there were still a bunch of people around. But we headed to the Embassy in Kensington to meet up with some people. And that was okay.
The best was that I got pizza on my way home from Massimo's because I'm dumb but I felt fine after. So There.


I think that just about rounds-up that evening.


Now I have to figure out what to do with today. It's snowing (finally) so I don't think I'll get around to doing that laundry I promised myself I would do today. Too bad for me!
I did make rice pudding, though. And I do have annoying hormones, so I will probably just go ahead and take this opportunity to do nothing (which is not unusual in any way).


I have NO shifts at work right now and it's so stupid. I need to get another job, I know I keep saying that.
Anyway, in the meantime I have to not spend any money ever.
So, who wants to do free things with me?
And who wants to take me out on the town??

actra awards 2010 round-up (part one)

Paaaaaaaaarty times!





ACTRA awards last night. They let anyone go to these things! Just kidding, as an apprentice member I definitely deserve to get to go. On a related note, I deserve to book more things and get all my credits and be a full member. Soon.


Met up with my castmates from Manson! Such cutes, such darlings. I think it's wonderful that we all still like each other. I think most Canadian actors are pretty nice because there's such limited work that if you want to work you have to be the nicest ever so that people want to work with you again.



I wasn't even drunk at this point, nor did I get sloppy in any way. I know, right?


More friends! This is when we were watching the ceremony. To me, the ceremony always feel like a bit of something that we have to get through in order to get back to drinking and partying. I didn't dance at all, I'm not sure how that happened but that's dumb. I guess I was too busy wandering around finding all my friends and everything. Way more people came that  I know this year. Or maybe I just know more people?


Geri Hall hosted the awards!
She was even funnier than I expected. Like, I know that she's funny on 22 minutes and everything, but she had a couple of really spot-on great jokes.


She's very tall! And has a nice rack! Which I complimented. I felt like she would think that was funny. Then we had a little mini sit-down chit-chat about having "unique" voices. She was so great and friendly and lovely. Canadian actors, ya know?


Ran into this friend from work. He was being super cute with his gf. Awww. I might have told him it was free drinks so he was a bit disappointed when we found out we only got one drink ticket each!!

Hey, look, it's my old school chum! There's only a few of us left plugging away from my graduating class... and it wasn't even that long ago. That's the way, though, I guess.


The lovely lady on the right is also from our class.
I ran into one of our teachers and said hi and she was so happy to see me and so glad that we're still at it. Awww.

Some days it is hard to think about continuing on as an "aspiring" actor.


Anyway, look, it's Peter Keleghan! Man, did he look sexy with that beard. Also, with his glasses but he took them off for the photo. Here I think he is trying to drink my martini...

Oh yeah, so I made that dress yesterday. I totally 100% ripped off the pattern from a dress I already had... I just wanted a fancier one. It's a bit too slinky and definitely too tight and also didn't stay up properly (awesome) but overall I was alright with it.
Nice broach, too, you can't really see it there, I guess, but it is lovely. I've worn a sweet broach every year, actually. Traditions, traditions.

I'm not sure this year was the best year, but it was still pretty funny. totally worthwhile and makes us feel a bit like we're really part of the industry and are all buds. Awww, etc.
