All I want to do is watch episode after episode of Dexter and make Christmas cards and tags. So what?



I'm kind of funny about crafts. I get super obsessed with something for awhile and then never get back into it again. I'm definitely into this project.

One month and 2 days until Christmas. That's like barely any time at all! I haven't really made any progress on the gift front... Soon...



Had brunch today with Dollface and Sass and co. Brunch always makes me feel a bit better. I'm definitely feeling the hibernation for winter business, though.



I cannot wait for home times (less than a month!!). I saw my old friend Prune all too briefly on Saturday night and it made me homesick. I've known her since I was four. That is an unbelievably long time to me.

I'm going to be 26 this Christmas, in case you were wondering. Yeah, I'm legal.
26 is a funny number, it doesn't seem that appealing for some reason. It's 27 I'm really looking forward to, but who knows why...

Which was also very fun, though less of a dance party -- mostly due to how there wasn't anyone who was willing to break it down with me. Everyone should dance more.

She had a bit of a potluck dinner. I was working so I arrived late. Too late to get to sample most of the food, but also late enough that it didn't matter that I didn't bring any food. And I still got some lentil salad and a bunch of delicious desserts.




I think Miss Lindeman is just having too much fun here.

I've had the worst headache all day and my neck has got a kink in it. Paaaarty.
I think I'm getting better at talking myself out of bad moods or trying to do things to fix them, but sometimes I'm just irritable for life.

I just went out and got a big coffee. Maybe this will make me feel better.

Entire Cities vinyl release tonight, though. Should be lovely, hopefully I will feel like dancing instead of feeling annoyed. And I haven't been to The Garrison yet, so I'm interested to see what this new, hip venue is all about.


I took these photos and most of these people aren't in the band anymore. I feel like big bands would be hard to wrangle. Heck, even small bands seem hard to wrangle.

This blog is about to become 8 times more annoying if you don't like Christmas.



Nirvana has a Christmas tree set up now. Not really decorated just with white lights. Still lovely. Niki and I had brunch there the other day and it made the whole place feel all holiday-spirity.



Getting my holiday workshop in order. I haven't decided what sorts of crafts I'm going to make besides some origami ornaments and holiday cards... I'm very pleased to be getting an early-ish start on things, though. Usually I leave everything until the last minute and then I don't have time to enjoy Saskatoon and family and all that business.



I've already had one stress dream about Christmas.
I dreamt that we all forgot to buy any gifts at all and all tried to run out on Christmas day afternoon to pick up random things for each other. TERRIFYING.



I need to get a slightly bigger Christmas tree. I like wrapping all the little stocking stuffers to place around this mini little guy though. JK those aren't your stocking stuffers.



On an unrelated note, I am done shopping for stockings. It is far, far too easy! all those little things sneaking into my shopping bags. Actually I might pick up a couple more things for my bro. If you have any idea what stocking stuffers to get for an 18 year old annoying boy then let me know!

Lucky for me I don't have any shifts at work this week so I've had plenty of time for that.


Practicing lettering and stuff, too.


Some is good, some is not as good!




I haven't drank since Friday. I haven't smoked, either, come to think of it.
I haven't gone out either, though. It's easier that way.
I'm saving all my drink money to spend on Christmas gifts.

Went out for brunch yesterday with JL but besides that I haven't been out on the town much at all. Oh yeah, we also finally went to see Where The Wild Things Are on Sunday. I really liked it. JL was not convinced. I expected that to happen.



In case you were wondering what I'm doing with my hair (you weren't), I'm dying it with semi-permanents at home, a redder version of my natural haircolour, trying to grow it out a lot a lot so I can see what I have to deal with. I'm pleased with this semi-permanent. Less roots to show, less annoyance when it fades out right away. Fascinating!!!



On my way now to the second audition of the day. It's hard because the first one didn't go too great. It's a bit hard to suck it up and go for it again.
I got thrown off by the miming I was to be doing. I couldn't concentrate on the actions because I was trying too hard to do what the casting people like/want.
Also I think that casting person hates me and that always makes me nervous.
In conclusion, I suck. And I need to learn how to be better at not sucking.



I'm going to go smile at them with my eyes.

I feel bad, Sass has already posted all her photos from Friday and I'm only getting around to it now... Such is life around here.





Yeah, so we went to CiRCA (that's how you spell it! now that I'm a Clubber I know these things. I am in the know, if you will) and this is what it looked like for us



I also now understand what having "bottle service" is all about. I had been curious for years! I don't know if you know me or not, but I haven't been a club sort of person. Nor am I a "spending money" kind of a person.
Annnyway, "bottle service" is at the club where you commit to buying a bottle of alcohol (for the reasonable price of $100-400+) and then you are set up with a booth for you and your friends and then they bring your bottle and glasses and shot glasses and mixes and limes and ice and everything! Sort of like a little buffet. A little buffet with zero food.

This whole idea kind of amazes me. Anyone?
Obviously this is very fun and probably costs less than buying each drink individually but HOOOLEEEEE... weird.



Yep, low-light digital point-and-shoot is actually a pretty accurate representation of what our drunk-eyes were taking in.



I was kind of into this whole sauna-room thing with the barber/dentist's chair thing. Pretty neat.



I also kind of wish I'd drank slower (and A WHOLE LOT LESS) in order to take more in about the club and possibly even dance?? Who knows!



I'm glad that Sass brought me to this place. I finally really know what it's like to go clubbing. Maybe when the BFF comes back from overseas I will go with her sometime. I hear she likes that sort of thing.
